A traditional object in theatre, the curtain serves as a metaphor for hiding and revealing, creating borders or privacy, excluding and including, nationalism, etc. Making curtains collaboratively will give space to dialogue about its broad meaning and connection to the system we live in and our different positions within it.

We wish to devise an experience in which the public becomes activated as actors of the play, becoming participants in our democratic + collective practices. Over a period of five months we will take turns in traveling to Venice, letting the play unfold.
